Jessie Haddad
My name is Jessie Haddad, and I qualified as a physiotherapist at WITS in 1994. I spent some years working in a hospital setting both in the government and private sector, and I then went on to spend most of my career working in private practice in the Clovelly and then Fish Hoek areas. Whatever the nature of the problem, I love to approach treatment from a holistic perspective and with a strong focus on prevention of further occurrences in the future, through rehabilitation and working to educate and empower patients to self-manage their health and wellbeing.
I have a particular interest in working with chronic pain, having completed the National Pain Course through the South African Society of Physiotherapy, and I approach this work from a trauma-informed perspective. I have also done many and various courses over the years that have helped to enrich my approach including Craniosacral work, the Feldenkrais approach to movement, treatment of the Tempero-Mandibular joint (jaw), Sensory Integration for adults, REBT (rational emotive behaviour therapy – a type of CBT), Acceptance and Behaviour Therapy, and I am currently training in Somatic Experiencing. I have also personally attended training in TRE (Trauma Release Exercise), Cardiac Coherence and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. I am a great lover on ongoing learning and thoroughly enjoy the stimulation, challenge and satisfaction that my work brings.
Lanice Holloway
It’s been my life-long dream to be a physiotherapist but not just to treat the condition but to develop a trustworthy relationship with my patients and assist them along their journey.
I qualified in 1998 at UWC and pursued a military career thereafter as the physiotherapist in the SAMHS (South African Military Health Services) focusing on the SA Navy.
This sparked an interest in the sport side of physiotherapy and I attended sport courses to further my knowledge. I also developed an interest in treating more common issues from neck pain and headaches to back pain and pelvic issues, etc which could be either linked to injuries or repetitive strain.
I worked in private practice after leaving the Military and established my own practice in Plumstead in 2010. Subsequently, Jessie and I started Haddad and Holloway Physiotherapy in Fish Hoek in 2020.
I look forward to meeting new patients and old as we navigate life’s physical challenges together.
Tegan Pitt
Welcome to physiotherapy! My name is Tegan and I graduated as a physiotherapist from UCT in 2019, and was placed in the rural Eastern Cape for my community service year. This was a very rewarding experience, and I was fortunate enough to apply for a permanent post at this hospital thereafter. The work in the Eastern Cape equipped me with a wide variety of skills in out-patient and in-patient departments.
In 2023 I moved to a private practice in De Doorns, along the N1, where I gained invaluable experience in treating musculoskeletal injuries through the guidance of mentorship. I am a sports-enthusiast and enjoy helping people realise the benefits and importance of freedom through movement. I have special interests in sports injuries, neurological conditions and health promotion and injury prevention. With that being said, I am up for a challenge and can work with a variety of conditions.
I am now working in Jessie and Lanice’s practice and look forward to providing quality and patient-specific physiotherapy to the valley of Fish Hoek and beyond!
